So let me start by saying that I am not new to the car audio game but im puzzled. So I blew my inline 80A fuse about month ago and figured i had a short from a bad ground and made a new ground, i then blew a second 80A fuse and relaized i hadnt upgraded my fuse since i got a more powerful amp. So today i got a 200A fuse and installed. Plug everything back in and went to test everything. Started playing a song and smelt smoke and realized i fried one of my subs. Now my question, is it possible that the sub was messed up and was causing the amp to draw too much power and blow the fuses or is the amp to blame? I want to know if i need to replace the amp.
My setep by the way was 2 alpine type, 1224D. The amp is an MTX JH2400.
