advice for 6x9's in rear deck of a 95 Civic?

hello to all...

i had a 12' sub in a bandpass box in the trunk of my 95 Civic 2 door, but it died on me recently so i decided now was a good time to get rid of that huge box and regain my trunkspace...so, i bought some 6x9's and 2 single wedge-type boxes to put on my rear deck, but alas, they do not fit...so i'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to make them fit...either the speakers with the boxes, or just the speakers themselves...

i know that factory specs call for 6 1/2' speakers and lower for the rear deck, but i really want these 6x9's there because they sound alot better...

and this isnt as simple as just removing the existing speakers and doing a little modification to make the 6x9's fit because there has never been any speakers in the rear deck at all...and i've never had to make any modifications to make anything speaker-wise fit before, so i'm kinda nervous to just start hacking away at my car without at least some advice on how to go about this...

so right now, i'm really open to any kind of suggestions...and thanks in advance...

start hacking away dude. or get a smaller speaker.

make a/some boxe(s) for em, and take the ones you bought back
