Additional Battery (Batteries) Questions

Im thinking of adding a secondary battery, like a red top dry cell. Can anyone who has done this already give me some feedback on how it has helped and what kind of job it is to add one, and maybe about what it might cost to do the job. I know ill need battery, battery isolator, power cable ( 0 or 4?) and all the terminals.

if u want to add another battery like an optima get a yellow top. What u need to do is attach ur power wire thats already ran to the battery in the back then ground the battery to the chassis in the reaer then you can run multiple ground and power wires from the second batteries post

Optima batteries are decent, but for batteries for sound systems I'd much rather take a nice Kinetik battery over an optima. As far as cost, maybe 150.00 total for a decent battery in the back plus a couple ring terminals. You don't need an isolator. I added a kinetik hc800 in the rear to help with my 1501d killing my electrical system (yellow top under hood) and it did wonders, my voltage was much more consistent and my lights stopped dimming almost completely.
