Adding Speakers

I haven’t been able to really find anything on it. i have two tower speakers off an old boat and i was thinking about putting them in the bed of my truck to play music outside the truck when hanging out and stuff but i want to be about to have then connected to the rest of the truck speakers but i was wondering if there is a way to have the tower speakers on a switch so i can turn them off when just daily driving any input would be great!

Do you intend to run them off of an amp? Do you have anything aftermarket in your truck now or are you trying to integrate this entirely with your stock radio?

my truck is still all stock and i can run an amp if need be i didn’t know if i could just tap in to my current door speakers and just run it through a switch and connect the outside speakers to it or not.

I don't think the factory head unit is going to cut it for you here. Just get a cheap 2 channel amp and a cheap wiring kit and make sure you tape up the ends of the speaker wires if you pull them out to remove the outside speakers.
