Well...I first had an L7, extremely loud, then went for a SQ setup. Learned all about active and decided to get rid of the L7 and get a couple of type S, mainly because I got them dirt cheap like $25 brand new each. I immediately could tell a difference obviously between the sealed S's, and ported L7. However I have been reading around and from what I have been reading it is better to have 1 sub in your system for SQ than 2, plus the type S subs are pretty low end stuff...and I can use them in my other car so I am not getting rid of them, just swapping them out for something better, and using the old S's in a lower quality setup.what exactly was the type S' lacking in SQ
Where did you read that, I'm interested to see the reasons, as I've asked the same question but did not recieve that answer.and from what I have been reading it is better to have 1 sub in your system for SQ than 2
I also did read somewhere alot of people were using smaller subs for SQ, but I guess I am not completely 100% going for Sq, I would still like it to get loud, and you just dont get that with a 8 or 10, unless you fork out the dough. 105$ seems good to me for a 15 SQ sub that can take 700whow good is a 15 for SQ? I know back in the day alot of guys where doing 8's and 10's
