Adding a second alt to my setup

I have 2 extra alternators im planning to add one to my setup, just havent bolted it up yet. One is an 80 amp, externally regulated 3 wire like the stocker, other is a stock replacement, 80 amp internally regulated one wire setup. My question is, do i hook up the externally regulated ones regulator output to the same wires the other alts regulator is going to by adding in another plug or what? you can do that but the battery light will probably come on if it has one.

I think i remember reading that with the voltage regulator off sometimes they will put out higher voltage? Or maybe that was only with newer cars because of some way the alt works.
