Addicted to the remote level control.

Just curious if everyone else finds themselves constantly adjusting the bass level on thier systems. I do this almost from song to song..but certainly from cd to cd.

It seems that once you get into a system that can accentuate the bass...it can go from barely there to overpowering just with a song change.

I also just love tweaking the sound..but it makes me VERY glad to have a remote level control. (Plus I have an old Alpine EQ where I'm usually adjusting the lower frequencies also all the time).

i was going to say get an EQ and then you will die, but you already have one. most songs are different, so they always are being tweaked on, but for the most part mine stays the same unless i get a really funky song.

My sub amp doesn't have a remote bass control. (not the standard one that most folks think of, anyway...)

I can, however, make several adjustments to my sub amp directly from the HU (eXcelon deck and eXcelon B.M.S.-equipped amp) so I don't reckon I particularly need one.

i don't have a knob and i never touch the Hu's sub level. I "set it and forget it"
x2, most songs sound decent too me, although some do hit harder its just

something you get used to, also i find myself listening to certain songs more

often because the bass sounds better than others

My HU has some great controls on it...but I've found that using my old Alpine 3331 EQ just gives me so much more flexibility that its well worth hooking it up. it has a sub woofer level control, 11 bands of EQ and a variable xover from 50 to 120 k right on the face. Just a "tweakers dream".

For me, it takes too long to get in the sub menu of the HU to make adjustments.

adjusting stuff in the h/u sucks. so much easier to grab a knob on an EQ.
