Add another sub or get a more powerful one?

Right now I have the older Alpine Type-R 12" that handles 600wrms. The new ones I see do 1000wrms.

Option one:

- Buy another 600wrms type r

- Buy 1000-1200wrms amp

- Buy new box

Option two:

- Buy one 1000wrms new type r

- Buy 1000-1200wrms amp

Option three:

- Buy a new amp (currently running 500wrms alpine) and hope it improves my current 600wrms enough to my liking

Option 1 would be the loudest, twice the cone area same amount of power as option two.
