See, here's the problem.... You have a 9500, you have an HD3, they perform the same, made by the same place, but 1 costs twice as much. Am I the only one seeing a problem here?
I'm not seeing that price list from DJL yet either. It was his idea, its been a few days, where is it!?!?

lol they do not perform the same, the 9500 has better cooling. I am sure even the people you run with could tell you that much. Just because they are similar doesnt mean they are the same, are the benefits of the 9500 worth spending money over the HD3, thats up to the end buyer.

To me, no it would not be, but I bought 9510's for less than the cost of 2 hd3's so I am not *****ing...

Ibanender, what is the problem? You dont have to buy the 9500, your just making a big deal, because you believe its the same sub, well yes it is closely related, but not identical, and its pointless to go on about this in this guys NEW SUB thread, I layed it out for you, why are you making a big deal? Let people use what they want, no need to bash a company because you dont like them now, but you sure as hell liked them at some point while you were using them. DROP IT....DJ went to OKC so he was out of pocket busy doing things, like me a favor which extends his customer service beyond belief in my book.

Finally, you can do the test if you want, The HD3-12 will not with stand the same beating you can give a 9500 because of the diffirent cooling and such, I know first hand the 9500 will take 3k DAILY, the AQ doesnt like more then 2k daily, thats a huge difference!

^^ thats not entirely true. jeremiah and spl1402 would tell you that HD3s will hold 3kw daily just fine J used z1s and now uses 4kws and spl uses AT5000.1s...

For daily driving huh, so they have tested their amps and such to prove the subs are getting an actualy 3k? and Z1s are power hungry amps, so if you dont have the proper power supply your never going to see that power regardless, but ok, comp use yes 3k daily driver, your sub isnt going to hold up as long as you would expect, but back on track

The 20 runs of 1/0 in my car isn't near enough to feed those Z1's either. Wrong, z1's are very effiecent in comparison to other amps in their class, and most amps in general. Thats like saying the zapco 9.0 is a power hungry amp, yea it sucks current, all amps do, but for the power put out it is a very small amount of power. You act like anyone is going to buy a 5000 watt amp so they can expect a 2000 daily, most people that buy an amp rated at 5000 will put it on sub(s) that are rated around the same area.

yes it is very efficient but it still takes juice to make juice But like J said he tests his constantly and 157.1 on 4hd3s in bassrace, I think thats enough evidence that HD3s cooling is not an issue

Re read my post, compared to other amps, it is not that bad. It still needs power, but not like the others in its class...

Maybe in his install, but what about in another, maybe a bandpass, it is all install dependent, get off J's nuts, just cuz you own an HD3.

get off DD's nuts, and i dont own a HD3 but i know that saying that its inferior to a 95 is not entirely correct.

just because you don't like what I'm saying doesn't mean it's not true. Of course it's install dependent, but we aren't talking about that. 1 4kw per sub is brutal at full tilt, and its not like he recones them after every run.
