RE RE series questions.

Ok i just got these subs about two weeks ago, and i was afraid to bang on em, i wired them to .7 on my memphis st1000 and it sounded good(for being tuned so high) So i got brave and i turned my amp up about maybe 1/6 on the remote and everything got hella loud, roof flex, window flex, trunk sounding like shit. But since they are new they started to smell after a while. The smell stopped a couple days ago, they never got more than a little warm to the touch, and now they stay cool after pounding hard. I want to turn my amp up some more, to about 1/4 or 1/3, but will the excess power kill these subs quick?? i dont know what this amp does at .7 but its a crazy lil amp. oh and its three 12"s each "rated" at 175 rms, they are getting more than that right now.
