acura legendbose system

My dad has a acura legend with a bose system. The system sounds like crap to me and he wants to get a new head unit to replace the stock one. For me to do this do i have to change out everythin? b/c i am planning to just replace the front speakers with some components with a clarion cd player. Do i still have to bypass the factory amp?

Nope, but you will need a deck with front and rear pre outs.

i have a legend and the bose deck was gone. i bought a new deck and just wired it up regularly and changed out the speakers and that was it.
