Good Day Everyone !! I'm Dimas and I need some help, I just found an "active subwoofer" in a junkyard, it was installed (looks from the factory) in a suzuki vitara. Can someone tell me what really is, what are the pro's and con's of it, does it compare to a subwoofer?

Thanks

active means a speaker or subwoofer has an amp built in that powers it

passive means you need to amp it yourself

although this term is rarely used in car audio equipment.. only thing that comes to mind is a bass tube or something ghetto.

waste of time imo
