active setup with 800prs?

i recently bought all my stereo, but have question if i want to run active. I have pioneer p800prs HU and sundown audio 100.4 amp with 2 sets of CDT components. I havent hooked anything up yet, because i am building kickpods and redoing my door panels now as well as getting ready to build my sub box. But, on the 800prs, do i have to get a seperate crossover to run active? Also, instead of running 2 -4 channel amps, can i just run all 4 tweeters off channels 1 and 2, then run all 4 midbass off channels 3 and 4? thanks for any help, i have read hundreds of post on going active and now i have read so much, my mind is ******. LOL

the 800 is active capable. You can probably run the tweeters and mids like you described. Just be sure to wire them so that the amp will see 2ohms instead of 8ohms

Thanks. I thought it would work. The amp is stable to 2 ohms, so i will just wire everything like that.
