Active Setup; Need HELP!!!

I plan on running this setup but the question is...I don't know how to go about installing it all. I know how to install component speakers with passive crossovers but not this. By the way, please tell me whether or not you think this is an excellent setup for an SQ install.

Eclipse CD 8455 H/U

4 Focal TN51 tweeters off a JL Audio 300/4 Amp

2 RE XXX 6.5 Midbass speakers off a JL Audio 300/2 Amp

2 JL Audio 12w6v2's off a JL Audio 1000/1 Amp

My biggest questions are: how do I go about running RCA cables to all this. I know the back of the H/U has Front, Rear, and Subs. How do I split all this up with the RCA's? And do I need an external EQ?

First you are going to need an active crossover, you know that right?

this is what you can do, if the amps have a line out in them(which I would think that they would).... run the sub rca's to the crossover and then to the amplifier for the tweets, from the tweet amplifier you run the line out to the other amplifier.

Or you can just split the rca's with a Y-connector

That would be utterly stupid...

Ditch a one pair of tweets...if anything I'd rather have 4 mids (2 in fron and two in back...) than 4 tweets...

So, you'll need TWO 2-channel amps and one sub amp. That eclipse should be fully capable of running an active setup (my 8053 was). Run the front RCA's to you tweet amp, run your rear RCA's to you mid amp, run your non-fader RCA's to you sub amp. I think eclipse even labels them for your convenience (like high, mid, low or something of the sort). Then use the fancy pants internal xovers to tweek to your liking. OR, if you decide to go with an external xover, run the front RCA's to the the xover, set the fancy setting for that input, then run the output to your tweet amp. Do the same with the mids using the rear RCA's...make sure to bandpass them on the xover (a highpass and a lowpass setting) the take that output to the mid amp, and you can even do the sub if it's a 3way xover.

I'll tell you right now, it's a ****ing NIGHTMARE....at least if you run an external xover...
