active gain setting?

ok i know on a 2 way set up you use a 50Hz tone for the low amp, and a 1k tone for the other. but what tones do you use to set an active setup? would i just pick some where in the middle of thier respective ranges?

Thats what I did. 5khz for my tweet and 1khz for the mid, 45hz for the sub.
