Hey guys,

I'm looking to get my sub and I've decided to go with 1 15". I've been looking around and the owner of AE has really convinced me to buy his woofer. Has anyone ever heard of an acoustik elegance AV? He's really proven to me how good of a subwoofer they are by showing me how they have better SQ than IDMax's. There's a few links to threads where John E Janowitz, the owner of AE, really explains how amazing his subs are. What do you guys think? It's right in my price range and I'm really looking for more SQ than SPL and that's what these woofers are made for.

Here's a link so you can check out the parameters of the sub.

Please let me know what you guys think and if there are any other better subs for around the same price. I'm really not trying to go over 1000RMS. Any links to reviews would be good too. Thanks everyone!

are they still using alum cones? ive got a av12 sitting in the closest that i blew it has small dents all over the alum cone. oh yeh it looks like it still a alum cone and the one i have was a tc2+ motor looks like a diff motor on the new ones. do they not come in d2?

Purchase with confidence. John goes out of his way to make excellent product. A lot of what he's done references the older Lambda stuff, which were some of the most musical subs one could get.

If I was in the market to buy I would not hesitate. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you're implying that this is someone posting on John's behalf trying to get sales, you would definitely be wrong about that.
Not saying on his behalf...or with any connection to him or his company. But idk..the ways its phrased and the links provided make me think this isn't as innocent as it looks.

Look at his old posts. It's a member from CAF asking us to confirm what he's being told on CAF (where John is fairly popular). Nothing to worry about here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ahh ok. Thanks.

Yes I am a member on CAF and I wanted to get more opinions on the subs before I bought them because I just can't find many in depth reviews of them. John has really impressed me with his graphs showing how is subs have less distortation than the IDMax which is a 500 dollar subwoofer. What size box would you guys reccomend for one 15 AV-X? I'm wanting to go ported so I can get that extra loudness. What should I tune my port to and how many square inches of port area? Thanks so much for your help guys. I can't wait to order my 15" AV-X.

Yes you can order them specially to have him make them dual 2.
