So I bought one of the volt meters that plugs into your cigarette lighter and Im not sure if its totally 100% accurate but it seems to be so far.
With my current setup listed in my sig, 2 10" kenwood subs, Kenwood 8105d amp (500W rms @ 2 ohms) and a Kenwood 8405 amp all on a 150A alt + a brand new stock battery Im getting about .4V voltage drop max. Goes from 14.0V down to 13.6V, lowest I ever saw it go.
I'm pretty sure thats OK, but my main concern is once I put in my new setup tomorrow hopefully.. lanzar opti 2000D amp (1700W~ RMS @ .67 ohms) , so what is the most voltage drop I can have that is still considered acceptable? I dont want to fry anything. Im doing big 3 upgrade with 1/0 soon as I havent done that yet.. which probably isnt helping.
