ac and DC voltage

What is a good voltage ac wise coming out of the amp speaker terminals?

and same goes for dc. If applicable? Is a amp supposed to send out dc voltage?

What setting to use on dmm to read ac and dc voltage. Thanks

12-14V DC going IN to the amp, AC coming OUT of the amp. The voltage depends on the impedance of your subwoofer as well as the size of the amp. A 3000w amp is going to output a much higher voltage than a 500w amp.

And no, there should be no DC coming OUT of the amp just like there should be no AC going IN. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I mean like what setting on the dmm. Ac for Ac current and dcc for DC current . But my dmm. Has setting of. 200m.2.20.200.600 what of those setting should I use to check for Ac and DC voltage out of the amp terminals.
