I'm building my trucks sound system and currently working on the substage, there is a sleeper style cab over the back, and we will be putting a cut up diamond plate toolbox under it that will house the subwoofers, amplifiers, crossovers, etc..
My question is, since there will be a ton of room under the amp rack, between the sub boxes and on the bottom deck of it, what is the absolute best way to deaden it.
The aluminum looking stuff is just a waste of money being so thin in this space, I will use that under the carpet though.
I was thinking of some options and came up with these options:
Fiberglass Insulation
Carpet Underlay
Camping Pads
The Egg Crate Stuff they use in recording studios
I haven't looked into pricing yet, but I know these will all be very cheap compared to 5+ layers of mat, and still perform better.
Anyone ever used this, or had experience working with it?
