About to build a box for 2 9510's in my ranger...need help

I hope to start the build tomorrow, before i do i've got a few last minute questions.

1. I'm shooting for a crazy high number in SPL, so i'm tuning to 40hrz, this sound good or no?

2. I THINK that 9510's are .25 displacement, so i was shooting for a box that would be 3.75 after wood and port displacement so that after subs it would 3.25, thats what DD's site recommends but i'd like to get a second opinion.

3. How to port this? Aero's or just making a port wall, still up in the air

When designing SPL boxes, the bigger the port the better, the longer the port the better. And you usually want the woofers as far away from the opening of the port.

i'd try 3 cubes tuned anywhere from 40-45 with as many 4" or 6" aeros as you can fit.

no no no, extended cab lol. Fitting 1 9510 behind the seats of a standard cab is hard enough, two would be impossible lol.

But why not grab a pair of 4'' aeros or maybe 1 6'' and have it be external? Also, I have no clue about the displacement but the site says .5 or whatever (which I saw you mention earlier) but that has to be way too high. Even .25 seems pretty high.

most 18 inch drivers have displacements around .25, thats pretty big for 10's

They're expensive though. After shipping a 3'' aero comes out to $21 or something rediculous.

i would go with a 6" port, would i only order one? to tune it to 40hrz it looks like it would need to be 12" long
