ok, i installed my zx750.1 today and did the tutorial for setting the gain. The problem is that with the gain set to zero, a 50 hz test tone at -3dB reads ~42 volts. According to the tutorial, i should set it to 38.73 volts. What am I supposed to do? I can't set it lower than zero.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Is it going to mess up my amp and sub?

Have you tried hooking up the remote gain module....I would think that you could go even lower with it. Reason I say this is because the remote knob turned all the way up will be the gain setting that is on the amp, by lowering the level through the knob you may be able to go even lower.....might be worth a shot.

Sometimes remote gains take over the gain control entirely. Look in your manual, or the manual online if you don't have it. I know mine does on my crossover. Min on the knob is min gain in the crossover, and max is max.

And this is why I set gains by ear...
