About getting 14.4 volts into an amp!!!

I wanted to know what would be the easiest way to give an 14.4 volts of power. Any help would be thankful!

Oh, i seen somewhere on this site where someone said a usual car(alternator) generates 12 volts. Might have been something else,thanks.

The battery is 12V. With your car off, you'll only get 12V. But most alts run around 13.8-14.4V.

get yourself a $20 multi-meter at the local hardware store (very handy tool to have -- not just for car audio). Start your car. Check the voltage at the batt. Learn something.

mine runs 14.5-7 at the battery...voltage drop through the 2awg isn't that bad...

my amp tells me how many volts its getting cause its pimp =x but i get about 14.2 untill i turn it up then it goes down to 12.2 - 12.7 i need another batter or a power cap.
