Right now I have a tsunami 4 Ga. amp kit run to a DLS RA40 run in a 3 Channel configuration .My ? is if I were to deside to ad a mono amp for my sub could I run the 4 ga. to a distubution block and spit it to the two amps or would I need to run 0 ga. to a distrubution bolck then to the two amps?

My amp kit said it was rated for 1800-2100 watts. i would be adding a mono the runs about 500 RMS.

I think you will be fine, and the fusing on that amp sounds about right for the power. And I wouldn't split down the wire going from 4 to 8 gauge , I would put the 4 to a dblock then still run 4 to the 2 amps after that. Just to be safe. Until you go bigger I think you will be fine for where you are at right now.

really appreciate the advice. I just installed it today and caught the bug just like I knew I would. It sounds so much better than just the HU but the bass is a little laking. Can't wait to install a mono so I can get the potential out of the sub. When I do correct me if I'm wrong I need to increase the size of the in line fuse.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

For clarity, why not example 2 ? Example 2 is 2 ohm...my speakers are 4 ohm and amp uses less RMS wattage with the bridged 4 ohm full range...
