04 dodge ram 6 speaker infinity

really need help with 04 dodge ram 1500 w/ infinity 6 speaker system...when i installed amp and new head unit i bought the aftermarket plug to leave stock wiring ran new speaker wires from amp to the plug and nothing...my woofers work(straight wired but nothing threw the door and dash speakers...if there a factory amp in this system or am i just crazy.........when i tried to omh out wires fluk would beep once and quit like something is interrupting polarity.....
