A small "going active" build.

Its an s10 with very thin space behind the backseat. The sub that was in it was an Image Dynamics ID8. I'm going to build the box and try all the 8's I have and see which one I like. I'm guessing its going to be between the E8 or ID8.

Speakers are staying, MB Quart PCE 216, until I get my Adire comps i ordered.

I'm hoping that active will sound better than passive

I'm planning on building the box tomorrow, I've ran the 4guage and grounds.

box will be roughly .6-7cu/ft tuned to 34-37hz still figuring that one out.

pushed it to its max. it's pretty powerfull if you ask me. compared to the JL audio e4300 i had before, its WAY better. and i paid less for this lol.

on that box i got really anxious and just wanted to hear it! lol

this new box will have a terminal, i'm going to take my time, maybe even finish off with something. All my boxes are MDF finish, it's cheaper that way

That long blue rca is not there anymore, i have made a fitting rca. I plan to spraypaint the box black in the future. I still have to try the ID8. This set-up is louder than my old set-up and sounds A LOT better.

Gotta love single cab builds. I managed to fit 3ft^3 NET at 35hz for two 10's behind my seat lol.

Downsized to .6ft^3 NET at 32hz for 1 8"

Should be interesting on the difference of them.

It's actually a DQX and i like it a lot! very versatile.
