A Skar Surprise!

speaking of greedy, you run sundown. you should have a good realization of how outrageously expensive their stuff is.
That's just it more money is invested in the parts that make up a piece of Sundown equipment. Other brands choose to use the cheapest possible components when putting together their equipment.

A $1000 amp that cost $250 to make vs. a $1000 amp that cost $25 to make. Who's greedy and who derives their stellar reputation from quality.

I appreciate the world you're trying to live in. I really do. Unfortunately it's not the same one the rest of us inhabit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
No hard feelings' date=' and best wishes nonetheless.[/quote']

There are plenty of people that don't rely on insanely greedy markups on sub par equipment to make a lucrative living. Stop defending this overpriced mass produced Chinese garbage...It's making you look stupid.

Mark-up on products is ridiculous //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

lol a power hungry sub? An incredible amount of fail on this thread. Cheap subs. Cheap Chinese garbage. The cost the owner sees per sub is probably around $20 straight from china. What do you expect?
You have no idea what you are talking about what so ever. I agree this sub is not power hungry, but the rest of your statement shows how uninformed you are.
It took about twice as much power as my Flatlyne to get satisfactory output, I would consider that power hungry. The Skar was on ~950 from a USAcoustics 2300f wired to 4ohms and the IA was on the same amp wired to 8ohms both in a sealed box. The IA was louder.

Try to come over and make sure you bring this thing. I want to hear it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Rain, rain go away! Lol

The SA line is also made in China, no?

I'm not defending, just conversing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I sense some bias, but also some common sense from you. I agree that the markup on many products, the world over, is quite high, but singling out one company seems petty in the grand scheme.

I'm guessing there were more variables in play than just the sub. I'd be interested to know enclosure used for each, etc. Thanks! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I found that the driver was not very efficient. The sub does not like a lot of power as your post would have people think.

I tested in sealed as well, I would be interested to see what the specs were on your enclosure.

The box has a gross internal volume of 1.414ft^3. With the Skar in it the QTC was measured at .76 didn't get to measure the QTC with the Flatlyne in it but if I remember the specs of the IA (got deleted for computer) the box favored the Skar more. Assuming you are going for a .707 QTC. The Flatlynes QTC I believe would have been higher, I'll have to get out and test it.

Then the Flatlyne may have had more of a peak than the Skar, though I haven't modeled up a Flatlyne in a long, long time. Just basing this off of the QTC statements in your post. Obviously an incomplete assumption.

That is funny... I know the dealer / distributor model is totally lost on many forum members but that is a silly statement. So you think I collect all the money from every sale made through dealers and distributors ?
