dual 4 ohms, when i wire them to 1 ohm nothing plays. the amp is 1 ohm stable. wtf?
coils are good. they play fine, but its retarded they wire to 2 ohms 2 dual 4s shouldnt do that?check all the individual coils with a DMM?
i dont even remember, i pulled them out like 5 times earlier i dont feel like checking again hahaweird. really weird. What does each coil read with a DMM?
really? this isnt gonna like open a wormhole and **** the earth into it or some shit is it?Amp problem, also use a AA battery and see if your connections to the amp are bad by touching the + to the + speaker lead and the - to the - speaker lead see if they move.
just like checking the phase. are they funkypups? if so, then possiblyreally? this isnt gonna like open a wormhole and **** the earth into it or some shit is it?
That's pretty common for dual 2 to read like thatwith the subs wired and in the box, check it at the end of the wires, where it hooks up to the amp (but don't have it connected to the amp) and see what it reads...
Box rise could be part of it. Also, I have purchased subs before that where "D1" coils and ended up being like D1.3 when I checked them out. I have also had D2 coils read like D1.8-D2.2
I would guess you accidentally wired them in series...? No way they would read 4 ohm each and then go up to 8ohm if wired properly.I had the strangest thing with my subs yesterday too. I checked each coil and they read 4 each. I wried them in parallel and got 8 ohms. WTF?
What's it reading on the DMM? And how far off/accurate is your DMM? Some cheaper ones can be off by a whole ohm or more.
