A Quality Security System

I am in the market for a quality security system before I even begin to transfer all the audio gear from my last vehicle(technically my dad's now). Does anyone have suggestions on systems that are both cheap and upgradable. All I am looking for now is the basic keyless entry system that disables the starter and makes some noise.

I am thinking Viper but need to know if there are other, cheaper alternatives. The ability to upgrade is the strongest selling point for me at this point.

As my situation is now, I can probably spend about $200-$300 up front then another couple hundred over the next few months. That is the reason for the ability to upgrade; I can't afford top of the line with all the bells and whistles right away but I can augment my system over the next 6-12 months.

I would take a look at Clifford. High quality systems. Unbeleviable exspansion capabilties. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Who???

I know who it is.....

Its jtmoney being an idiot and trying to be funny.

Get a life mate and sort your own system out too(Sony everything),

before you go talking crap and trying to advise other people.

Well if you plan on getting it installed by a pro $200-$300 doesn't go too far, least not around here. Now if you are installing it yourself that is a different story. I bought a Crimestopper CS-2006 for under $300 on eBay, and then added Power Locks, for another few dollars. After everything needed for install I spent like $325. That particular alarm has all the bells and whisltes. I like the little remote that pages me if something happens to the truck. It tells me if it was just bumped or if someone tried to get in, it also disables the starter, and has remote start.

As long as it says "Step away from the vehicle" and then makes a lot of noise, I'm a happy camper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.
