A new electrical problem?

So, about a week or so ago, I left my car on 'Ignition' [Where the car's electricals go on, including the radio, but the car isn't turned over] and I kept it there too long and my battery died. I got jumped, I drove my friend home, and I went home [About 20-30 minutes]

I drove a few more times after that [i don't drive my car often], and it started up fine, and what not.

I just went to start my car up [the last time I started it was Saturday night] and it was dead. It made the "Vru- vru-vruuuuuu" followed by a bunch of clickings. I left the car on ignition, and I saw the battery meter was below "low".

I have this POS Prostate that probably came with the car back in '98.

And I have a crappy alt.

But, what worries me is that nothing was left on. No lights, the subs are properly wired and I actually checked to see if they remained on when the car was off [but they don't], the lights weren't on.

Could it just be that my battery sucks and I need a new one?

Or... is there somethign else?

[P.S. between the last time I started my car and today, I took off the tubing that runs from the battery + to... somewhere. I started following it down to somewhere under the engine block where it just goes straight back. I was trying to see how much wire I needed for 'The Big 3', but I didn't unplug anything or anything like that. I just took off the tubing and put it back on... if that could have ANYTHING to do with it.]

probably killed the battery by draining it all the way. id say put it on charge for a few days ( trickle charge 2 amp ) and see if that brings it to life
AKA my car's out of service for a while?

But tomorrow I'm gunna check the battery, then check my alt see if my alt might've died.

[Godd**ned Mustang Alts... they're POS's]

if your car runs, its not the alternator.
Yeah. That's true.

I put water into the batteries, and tried to start the car. It sounded like it was going. So I stopped... waited 10 mins... and tried again. And after a bit of encouragement it started up. I let it run for a little bit, reved the engine a few times. Turned it off, and turned it back on and it snapped back on. I let it sit for a few more minutes and left.

The last time I put water into my batts were... May of last year.

Is that an abnormal rate?

The left chamber wasn't too bad, but the right was completely dry.
