I have an IDMAX 12" DVC 4ohm.

Just curious how to wire it up...I have two amps in mind that I'm looking at.

First the US Amps mono md1 1050wx1ch@1ohm

or

Rockford Fosgate P6002 Max power watts per channel: 1800W @ 2 ohms

# 600W RMS (continuous) x 1 @ 4 ohms, bridged

# 300W RMS (continuous) x 2 @ 2 ohms

# 150W RMS (continuous) x 2 @ 4 ohms

Would the fosgate be a bad choice (being that its a 2ch) for using it with my IDMAX? Thanks in advance!

Guys...I just wanted to know how to wire either of those two amps because I'm an idiot. Thanks! haha
You wire the sub up to the amp, go the the wiring section it'll tell you how.

I've never had a chance to play with the idmax so I can't say it'll work great off that power. I'd THINK in the right box, it should be fine though. How much is the usamps?

Im waiting on a price quote on the amp. My previous amp, a Crossfire BMF1000D made 1000x1ohm. It worked very well w/the sub for 3yrs until it caught on fire 3 weeks ago. haha

The box is a sealed box I had made specifically for the sub by an authorized ID dealer at the time. I dont recall the specs though.

The US amp will give you close to the same performance of your old amp at 2ohms.

The Rockford amp is not 2ohm stable bridged so it won't be suitable for your sub as its a dual 4ohm.

For a more budget oriented amp here are some more choices-

Kenwood KAC-9152 - 900 watts RMS into a 2 or 1ohm load

Kenwood KAC-X811D - 919 watts RMS into 2ohms

Power Acoustic A1800DB - 1100 watts RMS into 2ohms

Hifonics BX 1505D - 1000 watts RMS into 2ohms

Autotek MM 1400.1D - 1000 watts RMS into 2ohms

Crunch GP 1600.1 - 1000 watts RMS into 2ohms

Viper d1200.1 - 800 watts RMS into 2ohms

Visonik V2118 - 900 watts RMS into 2ohms

Ultra Linear UL400HC - 800 watts RMS into 2ohms

All those will get the job done and can be found for very good prices brand new.

That USAmps is a fine amp to use. I don't know what the beef with these other guys is..

Your particular IDmax can be wired at 2 ohm or 8 ohms. And according to ID 725 @ 2ohms would be FINE for that sub.

wire like this
