my.. i just need a little help choosing (a) sub(s).

i have 350z, and thinking about adding one or two 10" subs.

only 10"...

right now. i have 500/1 and trying to use stock HU, and add bass control on 500/1.

here are 4 subs that im shopping.

1. One JL 10W6V2

2. Two JL 10W3V3

3. One Alpine Type-X 10"

4. Two Alpine Type-R 10"

5. anything eles.. your input.. (replies)

I suggest the Ascendant Audio Assassins Dual 10" subs.... They are alooooot cheaper and match and or better then the Alpines and w3's. They are also very under rated. There has been nothing but good reviews...and it seems like alot of people are picking them up now...I just installed mine last night....they blew away my old phoenix gold octanes....I have pics in the sub forum.

the type r's will probly want 500 rms a piece AT LEAST.

i'd say go with one w6v2 for the time being.

To be honest, any reputable SQ sub will be just fine.

I'd choose an RE SE 12 or 15.

I haven't heard a Type-X, and while the JLw6 is nearly cliche', the line has earned it's reputation (almost.)

hmmm not from the numerous setups ive herd.....and plus the w6 wont sound "tons" better then the type x no matter how you cut the pie
