Overpowering a sub with a "dirty"(clipped) signal will cause heat buildup and eventual open or slinky coil. not many 3krms subs out there that i know of. dam near every company rates as high as 2500rms so show me your 3k wont send clipped signal to a sub and still put out 3000+ continuously

I think clipping, heat gain on subs, and length of equipment before failure would have something to say about this statement...if you think your subs, electrical, ears, etc will be able to tell a difference in a "dirty" class D amp vs a "clean" class D amp..
