A good, true 3k amp.

and you would be an idiot for saying this unless your sub is @ 3000rms. Overpowering a sub with a "dirty"(clipped) signal will cause heat buildup and eventual open or slinky coil. not many 3krms subs out there that i know of. dam near every company rates as high as 2500rms so show me your 3k wont send clipped signal to a sub and still put out 3000+ continuously

You missed my point sir, of course a clipped signal is no good, but to say the ap puts out "dirty" power is ridiculous, if driven within the limits of the amp you will get clean power period

yes but you will not get 3000+ of unclipped signal out of an amp with non-quality parts. just wont happen...so your point is mute.

A clipped signal means the waveform has flattened out on the peak and valley due to an overdriven power supply and/or output stage, but what does that has anything to do with "quality of parts?" The Sundown SAZ-2500D is rated to do 2500 watts @ 0.1% THD but everyone says it can push 3000 watts, you think that extra 500 watts just appears out of the blue because it's "built better" and it will never clip its signal? Keep in mind that amp cost more than twice as much as the AP new. Higher quality parts means the amp will have less failure rate, I haven't heard any horror stories about the newer AP amps and their market is full of noobs(due to their price) so if they can survive under noobs then that's quality enough for me.

No one benched the Audiopipe AP30001D driving a resistive load and see if it does 3000 watts @ 2 ohms with

I have the 30001D and I know it puts out significantly more power than the two Recoil RED1000.1 that I had before combined. Show me your test results on a oscilloscope and clamped on a resistive load or you should be muted.

if you think your subs, electrical, ears, etc will be able to tell a difference in a "dirty" class D amp vs a "clean" class D amp..
I think clipping, heat gain on subs, and length of equipment before failure would have something to say about this statement...
