Hifonics hfi2500d?

I'm looking for an amp to do 2500 rms at 1 ohm. trying to stay under $300. its for a dual 2 ohm solo x 18. best deal i found is a hifonics hfi2500 new for $248 shipped. is this the newer series of the bxi line? could i do any better for the price? been browsing classifieds but nothing really catches my eye or its been sold already. Also looked for two 1500.1 amps to strap but nothing really good for my budget. any opinions on the new hfi line? thanks

so maybe i will get 2250 out of it. should still be loud i hope. Gut shots look good to me, but i don't know what to look for lol. used to have the sub on a kx2500 and a orion 2500.1, but don't have the budget for the kicker now and the orion was not reliable before.

It should be fine if it's just a daily amp. Hell you could put a 2000w amp on it an you wouldn't tell the difference audibly now on a mic maybe.

yeah just daily, i haven't had a system in 2-3 years. borrowing a friends old solox and trying to find cheap power for it. will run an extra batt and two runs of 0 gauge. The hifonics comes with 1 year manufacturer warranty and 1 year additional seller warranty. seems like the way to go so far.

i looked at them but the solo x is dual 2 and couldnt run that at 1 ohm.

I got the hfi100.4. I needed a budget amp for my mids at the time and I love it. Had absolutely no problems at all. It's solid. I was very happy with my purchase.

I have heard that the audiopipe will take 1 ohm no problem do a search thats your best bet

did you notice a big difference in sq or power when you switched it for the sundown? i was looking at the matching hfi 2 channel too

i was looking at them, but the seller decided to hang on to them a while. was looking for another dsc1500.1 or dsc2000.1 but none for sale anymore.
