Enclosure A. is the one I want to build, but i cant do that until i do aomething about the trunk lid tension bars.

Enclosure B. is just a back upin case A. falls through.

 
the only thing with box B, you may have taken it into consideration but i don't see the pic showing it, is that the port that runs along the back of the box will need to be 1/2 the width of the port exiting the box to to maintain proper port ratio. (like 2single lane roads merging into a doulbe lane road.)

 
second one looks better but if A is effective id have to see it in action
the B box is vented through the rear deck @ the rear window. so in theory the reflection should make it sound good. like when you have the subs facing up at the rear glass of a hatch.

 
what car is this in?

in most turnks, i think you'll find that it's the loudest firing towards the taillights.

also, recommended for type r's may be 1.3 ft^3, but all the designs i've seen that get loud are 2+ per sub after displacement.

i'd suggest a bigger box, more port area, and a slot port on the side of the box with subs and port facing the taillights.
