The reason i came to ca.com is because THIS is the site he gets a lot of his audio stuff and he posts THIS website, so... as you can see, it would be an intelligent move to go where he does to learn. thanks though.

They are channels.

The two is for left and right.

The six is for six channels...three sets of left and right.

Ah look a caraudio questions.

RCA cables are usually in pairs. ALthough you can have a single cable if you really wanted.

Each one is for a seperate channel. If he has 6 cables it is most likely for fronts (2 rca's usually connected together) rears (2 rcas usually connected together) and then the sub (2 more rca's most likely connected together)

its to send the signal from the head unit to the amp, signal processor, whichever else.

if theres 6, most likely for his fronts, rears, and subwoofer, each pair will be dedicated to a separate channel of the audio.

so yes, you are in the right direction.
