The reason i came to ca.com is because THIS is the site he gets a lot of his audio stuff and he posts THIS website, so... as you can see, it would be an intelligent move to go where he does to learn. thanks though.

It would be intelligent to go to a better forum and learn more than what he can learn from here. But this is a place to start for the basics, since more than half of the members here are stuck on the basics and will as the same fucking questions day after day without searching before they start a thread.

Also I would suggest you learn how to ignore retarded replies and know which to reply to.

I will add to the box thing, however... The purpose of a box is to seperate the front of the speaker from the rear of the speaker so it can create sound without cancelling the waves.. And each speaker has its own specific requirments so a box can make one speaker sound great, but a diffrent speaker sound like crap.

I know, gay title.... get over it.
Anyways, so im married to a guy who spends practically ALL OF HIS TIME on the forums... which i am perfectly fine with.

However, i have absolutely NO idea how car audio works, i mean i have watched him and his friend built the sub box and install all the oz vector stuff, but brand names and "installers lingo" is all i know.

I really am interested in learning about his obsession, and maybe making it my own as well. However, when i ask him questions like what the different types of speaker wire are, how do you know when you need more, less mids and highs...[etc] he just says, don't worry about it, just hand me the screwdriver.

****ITT! i hate this! i really DO want to learn! so if anyone would take a few moments and lend me some tips, maybe books to read or hit me up on aim [mention the thread] id really really appreciate it!

Probably a few thousand over the years, most are scared away after the first 'post your tits whore' post so yeah we have 1 active female I know of as of now.

I dont know what's more annoying, the guys trying to act like a prick on purpose just because a female is present... or the chodes trying to act cool and friendly just because a female is present.

A woman shows up here and a bunch of guys inform her she's prolly the only female here, and that she'd be better off going to another site? If I didn't know any better, Id say this forum is full of closet ****'s with female trust issues. Lets try something, everyone else who responds in this thread... please post at the bottom of the reply what sort of relationship you had with your mother. Was is affectionate? Was is cold? Was it ****** and involved pets or farm animals? We want to know.
