Capable of Im assuming, he's running horns iirc. He has a 3-way with horns and super tweeters on the dash... again iirc.are you posting the wattage you're using or the wattage you're capable of?
I have about 3500W running on 2 bigg batts (1 main, 1 in back) with stock alt.. prolly about 100A... no problems here.. get some voltage drops, no headlight dimming though.. big 3 upgraded though (now 2 w/o HO alt in car)ok ok, you have specs. What do i need for electrical. I see post on a daily basis on the subject and I post and the thread falls flat. Whats up with that?
Headroom doesn't count. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifIf it's a question of capability, I have over 1100 watts going to my front stage. Realistically, ~350 watts to each mid and ~70 watts to each tweeter. What's the big deal? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Don't get me wrong; the system plays very loud. It has to, in order to overcome the noise generated by the car, itself, but it's never used to see just how loud it'll play for the sake of being loud. The power is there to ensure distortion/compression-free peaks while maintaining a generally high listening level. So, you do have a point. I mean, without the headroom, I'd have to play the rig at a lower volume in hopes of minimizing the said constraints. In a quieter car, I wouldn't have a need for this much power.Headroom doesn't count. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
