just got started on it tonight, it'll house a single 10" subwoofer:

You should add some body filler or fiberglass into the lines for the curve to strengthen it

it will be glassed to give it strength, this isn't my first time around the block. it's not finished, that's about an hour into it, but I just realized I'm out of fiberglass matt, so it has to stay like that until tomorrow when I pick some up.

Filled with wood glue, those kerfs stiffen up too. I'm sure glass will make it much stronger, though.

I like how the sub will be somewhat "hidden". That's trick! I'd like to see an armrest/console storage spot on top...

made the kerf cuts with my tablesaw, just set the blade low, and cut them 1/2" apart, and it bends easily. I've been doing a lot of it lately just to make simple ported boxes a little different. For the amount of time it takes, it really adds a conversation piece to the box.

this is going to be sick . . .

i am going to have one done for my '01 dodge 3500. it will have 2 10" subs ported.

keep the pics coming. can't wait for the finished product.

ps where is lumber bridge, nc? i'm over in morganton right now.
