So anyone viewed a DVD on this thing yet? I have an HD TV just not sure if the difference is wroth it to me.. I don't think anyone doubted there would be cheap HD-DVD boxes out this year, I would not be surprised to see $59 APEX HD-DVD's by christmas.

Best Buy has the price, but they are in store pick up and most stores don't have them...

If a demo piece is broken in under a month, I don't want one of them...

We had one at the local car audio/ home theater place I work at. Pretty good but we have had it out almost a month and it has already broke. Getting a weird error message. We are sending it back soon. Honestly not worth it.

They probably only had a couple 100 or less.

IMO this was just a push to sell all the A2 so they could start selling the A3.

yea you get what you pay for. Walmart electronics are subpar. This was just an excuse for me to go buy a new big *** tv and start on my ht setup. I figured it would last a year or less, by next year i forsee hd-dvd players prices dropping so it wont cost as much to get a quality one.

Is it just me or does anyone else think you get what you pay for?

Well it has an internet port for online interactivity with new discs like transformers, it has an hdmi output and the picture quality and sound is on par with blu ray/hd dvd player costing much more, So is the sound.. it decodes truehd internally also.

I have a ps3 and tested the panasonic blu ray player and all are equal as far as sound and picture quality goes.

Remember just cause you pay more doesnt mean its better.

**edit the only thing higher end players do better is they are hdmi 1.3 and do 1080p 24 fps (which very little sets have the capability of doing-My tv doesnt even accept 1080p and joetema doesnt even accepts 1080p 24fps) and plays dvds with slightly better picture quality. (not HD media just regualar dvds)**
