Subs: Soundqubed HDC418-D1-A

Amps: Soundqubed Q1-3500D.1 Amplifier / PHD mod. PHD 4075

*this is all a wish list I'm looking to put together the system shortly im either going to get 1 18" Sub or 2 12" from Soundqubed still debating. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I can build the box at work and I have all the cabling I need as well from my work. Im new to building car systems. However I've built plenty of boxes I do audio/visual for a living set up concerts and run the console aka mix the show etc. Just new to car audio so any advice would be greatly appreciated

Not bad I hear reviews about the phd amps. I'd go with a pair of 15s tho

so a pair of 15s over a single 18 or 2 12's....I wont be doing any competitions or anything. just for those long drives and I want to blast music on the way to somewhere lol...I have a temp job im doing to help my boss out so its a solid 45minute drive, and my one buddy lives an hr away and I got out his way almost every other weekend so I thought mine as well have a bad *** sound system in my truck lol. That PHD amp would be for my components obviously then the other amp will be for subs. And is it worth it to purchase the HDC4.0 if im not doing competitions or should I buy a different soundqubed sub from them?

The hdc4 is a great sub i run a pair of 12s on a aq3500 but tbh a pair of hdc3 15s on that amp would be louder

Im looking for more crisp clean sound with a nasty punch to it, im not going to take to comps. to pump out the highest db. So any sub that sounds nice clean and punches hard as **** would be nice.

If this is your goal then a single 18 would do fine on that amp.
