9887 Configuration

I was going to set gains at 20/35 and then go set the subwoofer level at 15. Then just tell my wife that she can only go to 15 on the volume so she cant blow anything.

I wouldn't set the full gains any higher than 28 volume on the h/u. Doesn't sound as good imo (I have a 9887).

I wont go any higher than 20 although gains shouldnt be to far off in the first place.

Did some tuning today and I ran into another question. When doing T/A it doesnt do even numbers. It has random presets like 13.7cm, 1.2cm, etc.

My FL speaker needs to be delayed at 38.1cm or 14", neither are on the list. Closest I can get is 13.7". The sub needs to be delayed by 10.1cm or 4". 4" is on the list so the sub is right on. What do I do for the speakers? Delay the left and right side so it equals 14" combined between the two?

Do you think your ears can tell the different of .3" delay? Don't be too set on the measurements you wrote down. Use them ears

Guess you cant read. The 9887 trumps the CD7000 hands down in SQ. Got it figured out too. Its not complicated at all. I was making it more complicated than it needed to be.
