Need Help, Factory Stereo Relocation

I'm helping a friend set up an aftermarket system in his 2008 Grand Prix.

Since the TPMS and some other stuff runs through the computer we're hoping to relocate the stock HU to the trunk and install an aftermarket for the audio and having the stock HU take care of the calendar, TPMS, etc...

Is there anybody with experience with relocating a factory unit to the trunk and have there been any adverse affects?

This would allow us to keep the factory gadgets and have a good iPod HU for music and seems like the best options, but google hasn't been much of a help.

Hoping some body with some experience can chime in with a good site to buy a relocation kit.

They don't sell a harness that will take care of all that? I mean, the easiest way to do what you want would be a harness to relocate it since it's a class 2 data system and chimes are going to run through it. It needs the BCM just to turn on. I would imagine that Metra has a harness by now that will allow you to retain all that.
