Hey there.
My truck got broked into a few weeks ago, the whole radio unit and bracket got stolen. I bought the truck with the radio already in it, so I know very little about the aftermarket radios.
I bought a new radio thinking it will hook right up since it had one in before, I was wrong. I bought this Car Stereo Receiver - CDXGT57UP Review | Sony Store U.S. - Sony US
It came with the pigtail harness that has loose wires on the other end to which I assume is to wire them to the old plug. I spoke with a car audio place here and they wanted $50 to install it and another $16 for some other part I needed. Way too much for something I can do myself. He said I needed another plug that goes from the stock harness that then has loose wires on the other end to scotch lock them to my new radio wires.
I took some pictures, wondering what all I need to get everything hooked up, if it's as simple as matching the colors I can do that. Don't want to do any soldering or anything, never was very good at it.
Thanks for your help!! Haven't had a radio in weeks, driving me crazy!
3 of the pics attached are the hook ups in my truck, the other one is the end of the plug that came with my new radio.
