8w7 in a silverado

I want to build a box for one 8w7 to fit under the rear seat of my 01 silverado extended cab. I have ProBox 5.0 and have input the 8w7 specs and max dims for the space under the seat. Which is more importat? Should I get the box volume as close as JL specs out or match the tuned frequency as close as possible. In that small of a space I'll have to make a choice. Or am I just pissin in the wind if I dont get the box volume right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh by the way the box will be ported.

For the W7 I would reconmedend around 1 cube ported. I ran mine at both 1.09@29 and 1.00@43Hz. The 29 had so impressive lows but, the 43 had much more impressive output.

Let me know if you have any more questions...

In order to keep the box under the seat and only on one side, I will not be able to get 1.0 cuft. the closest I can get is 0.72 at 33.44Hz. The box is a wedge design forward firing. If I must have 1.0 cuft then I'll have to extend the box over the tunnel housing at the center of the cab.

As I said the designe comes from the "ProBox 5.0" program. I guess the worst case senario would be that I had to build another box if this one sounds like crap.

Thanks for the info. I'll post pics of the build and completion.
