Hey all, just getting my new system going in my Civic. Dont have too many pictures of the build but you guys will get the idea. Let me know what you think, will update later when the rest of the equipment comes in and is installed.

The Cuts

Mostly assembled, no cutouts yet.

From the side, down the port.

With the cutouts... spilt some caulk on it >.

Carpet takes care of all thought....

38" wide and 14" Tall (external dimentions) squeezes tightly between the upper crossmember in the trunk and holds the box tight.... I like

And last for now, the clearence

Still to come, amp and cap install, mids and high front and rear, and new deck... but for now, its just gonna be the sub in the back.. need to wait for some more cash for the rest of it!

Looks good! I would of rounded the port though. Also I would of 45'd the port corner (you might of I just can't tell). Other then those things, it looks like a good build. id turn the box around and seal off around the top and sides somehow

Use a sharper razor blade when cutting out the sub cutout. Looks a little ragged in some places. But overall, looks decent.

That's a huge box. I had a big ol' one in there for my 12" and had to go smaller cause my trunk was sagging like no other. I had a snake port setup though, so my box weighed about 45lbs alone. I second turning it around and sealing it off, unless you plan on doing some major deadening. Good luck man. I know it was a pain for me to get my setup good, but now that I do, I love it. Enjoy. Oh, BTW, check out 8thcivic.com forums if you aren't already a member. Lots of good advice there if you need it in the future.

@ Mazdakid. I would love to, but if I did that I would want to alway have the seat open so I can give the port some clearence to breath.... However the car seats in the back make that kinda hard.. lol

@ Matt.... little obvious.... notice the corners around the port are alot cleaner, ruff cutout around the sub cause I plan on doing a little touch up when I put the sub in / make the gasket.

@ Azbass... lol? lol... just want to know @ what?

@ Bikinpunk Yeah, I figured as much with the deadening. all the panels and trim peices back there seem really loose as is... with the air that box is gonna move, I know LOTS AND LOTS of dinomat or similar products are in my future.
