Sorry if this has been asked before but I did a search and it was to open

Right now I have a Soundstream VGA800.2 thatI was supposed to use with 2 Xtant X1044 DVC 4ohms subs. I have one already and bought the second one on ebay. To make the story short, the guy stole my money and I now only have one sub.

I know that I can wire the Amp bridged at 800 watts rms into 1 at 4ohms. I can wire the sub to make a 8 ohm load. the Sub is good for 500 rms. will this work?

you can bridge it at 8 ohms... and you'll get half of what it does at 4 ohms roughly... or you can run it at 2 ohms on 1 channel... not bridged... some amps have a switch where left would be mono .... see if ur amp has that... but do not bridge it at 2 ohms...
