800w RMS BOSS amp for Kicker 12" L5

Ok i just purchased a Kicker single L5 which puts out 600 watts rms in a ported enclosure....my friend who is installing it for me convinced me to buy a boss 800 w rms amp with a subsonic filter to power it. The amp just came in today and im gonna install it soon. I am a little skeptical considering it is a boss amp. And so my question is... If the boss amp powers it will the sound quality be worse than a top of the line amp, or will the top of the line amp just perform better but have the same sound?

whats the model #....i sold a boss riot 1045 (?) acouple months back and i was very suprised as to how it sounded..it was a hefty guy too!

and to your last question...you certaintly cant expect it to sound or perform like a high end "800 rms" amp....though i beleive you'll be just happy with it...i was with mine and look at my sig..

I remember a friend that had an old Boss 150-200 watt rms class d amp. It was all black and it came out before the amps that had clear covers. I laughed at him for having a boss amp until I heard his system. Enough said...
