Hello,I am new to the boards and back into car audio...So I got this wiled hair and decided to doa project in my show car...my plan was to install 8 tens in a my car and my buddy that is into audio and has been longer then I have told me to put build a shared enclosure....Ok here is what Im working with...I bought 8 10" jackhammers that my local circuit city had on sale...Its mainly for the wow factor in a show car. Now after installed it dont hit as hard as two used to in the same car and same amp....Now I wired 4 in series, the other 4 in series and then ran the 2 groups of 2 in parallel for 2ohm and 2 ohm load......

Please dont flame me as I have been out of the game for some time and am kind of out of the loop, but am still somewhat familiar with audio.

any feedback as to why the subs arent doing the job...I ruled out my amp and installed my buddies Boston that kills his 12's...no luck its still the same.

You are probably underpowering the subs.

The subs split the wattage according to the ohm load.

The statement I made about you underpowering them is assumed unless you have a 4000wrms amp.

yeah I have 2 in series to 2 in series then those 4 in parallel,2 in series to 2 in series then those 4 in parallel....then I took them again and went parralel again...I figured a ohm load of 2 ohm per 4 and I wired the amp in 2 ohm stereo.....Ok here is where I may get flamed....lol...

I am running a punch 75 25 to life...The birth sheet shows 732 watts at 2 ohm.... It may be small but it hit as hard or harder with 2 tens....Is it the shared box or I wonder if I need to go through the wiring again?

It's probably the fact that each sub is only seeing about 90 watts.

What did you make the box out of?

What is the ohm load of each sub?

Not sure I follow your ohm load calculations. Use a meter to test the leads going to the amp, I think you may have it wired incorrectly and have a high ohm load resulting in only about 40 watts per speaker or less.

Holy crap!!! That's a 120 watt amp?!!!? Bridged at 4 ohms!!!

That's 15 watts per sub! If you wired it wrong it's as little as 7 watts per sub!

Rockford Fosgate 25 To LIFE Punch 75 2 Channel Amp
Amplifier Type: 2-channel

RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 37.5W x 2

THD at 4-Ohm RMS Power: 0.08%

Bridged RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 120W x 1

My front stage and rear fill are getting 4 times that in a low power SQ system, not including my sub.

200x10= 2000rms

you have an underpowering issue
he only has 8 tens so 1600. why would a person buy x amont of subs and put no where near the rms they should have to them. a sub should sound decent with a little more then half the rms, if the power isn't the prob then yes he has ohm problems.
