8 inch subwoofers suggestion

The round solos only come in 8ohm SVC....lame

They do not get all that loud.

I did an install with 2 round solo 8's in the rear quarter panels of a tacoma.

The boxes i made fit right in the stock " pocket"

Tell them to use 1/2" MDF or else you will get no internal volume.

No matter what sub you get you will have to make baffles, the depth is pretty shallow.

Hey man, how did it turn out after you installed subs into your rear quarter panels? because I have a toyota tacoma and took it to a shop and since I dont want to sacrifice seats they said the cheapest thing to do is put 2 shallow 8 inch subs in the quarter panel....did you get much speaker panel distortion?

I just want to get the loudest possible and clearest 8 inch subs that ahve a depth of 4.25 inches or less. So more suggestions would be great.

Not to shure, the amp rack wasnt finished...

If you really want to know ask JAZN, it was his truck

He upgraded to a Stereo Integrity Magnum 15 ported if that tells you anything....

If you could give up 1 seat then it would be bbest but i dont know what your current seating situation is.

Hi guys. I have been having problems with my focal 5ws subs. I keep tearing the cones where it connects to the coil. They are great little subs but if they get pushed a little over their limits they are done. Anyhow i am going to bump up to a single 8". I tried to do a search for 8" sub threads but the term 8" is too short making it hard to find the info i am looking for. I was looking into the focal utopia 8 and the 8w7. I see there is a sub called the rl- i . I found that on the net and it looks very impressive. What are your thoughts? I want a substantial sub and am leaning more towards the 8w7 at this point.

There are 8 RE RE 8"s for sale for a great price in the classifieds right now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Also look into the Diamond CM3 has a very small mounting depth. At least compared to an W7. Its a decent sounding little sub. I ran it in a 1^3ft box a little this weekend. Sounded alright (box was leaky, jigsaw blade broke FTL) Did not compare the the W7 in SPL though.

Oh and just a little teaser pics of the CM3 and the W7...
