8 inch subwoofers suggestion

I was wondering which subwoofer you think is best out of the small 8 inch ones by JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, or Kicker? I have to get small shallow ones because I am having a shop redo my quarter panels in the back of my tacoma and am having boxes built into them so I want the best 8 inch sub i can get for each side.

Out of those three I think the Kickers will work best with the size enclosures you'll have. Also you might want to look at JBL's or Infinity Reference 8's.

BTW what's up w/ all the threads on 8's lately? It's making me want some now. Maybe I'll put some in the old ladies car, hmm...

It would be a toss up between the 8w7 and the 21WX focal Be....now if you want a 1 note wonder get the L7.....but if you could get your hands on some old school solo 8's or comp 8's that's another story

8w7 is not shallow. L7's are note one note wonders. That's a false rumor.

not to sound like a pompous *******...but I've probably have more and own more equipment than most...yes I've owned the L7 infact...I was one of the first people ever to have one when I was building a demo car for their sales rep many years ago...

and yes the oldschool fosgate power and punch series were great sounding subs....the new ones.....not so much

How much depth do you have available to you? The Image Dynamics ID8D2 V.3 are 4.25" w/out the magnet cover.
